It would not be incorrect to state that we cannot see instances of competition law in the past. Competition law has grown multifold in the recent few and the demand for competition law has risen and will continue to rise.

 

Every other day we witness corporates merging or amalgamating and they seek permission from the Competition Commission of India. Why is this so? This is because of the Competition Act, 2002 which mandates consent of the CCI as mandatory in case certain thresholds are met.  

 

The continued growth of the competition law regime and its potential for accelerated growth over the next decade and beyond create enormous demands and opportunities for lawyers and other skilled competition law market professionals with expertise in corporate and competition laws. 

 

The present course is aimed at providing a conceptual clarity about the competition law regime in India. The course will provide clarity on the role and functions of the Competition Commission of India. The course shall help you understand the basics of the Competition Act, 2002. It will further assist you in comprehending the procedure of inquiry by the CCI. You shall be apprised about the landmark rulings of competition law in India.

Having pursued this course, you shall have a basic understanding of the competition laws.

 

The Course is divided in 4 Modules which are further sub-divided to cover different topics.
